Slow Groove 5K Training (Session 1 Only)

Start the year off right with a 6-week, beginner-friendly training plan designed to help you build endurance, confidence, and consistency as you prepare for the Aiken Triple Crown 5K on March 7. Whether you're new to running or returning after time away, this program gives you the structure, support, and guidance you need to reconnect with your stride and move forward with purpose.

Across six weeks, participants meet 2–3 times per week for coached group runs, dynamic warm-ups, cool-downs, and strength, flexibility, and balance exercises that help prevent injury and support sustainable progress. You’ll learn pacing strategies, running safety, and gear basics—essential tools for running comfortably and confidently at your own pace.

You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll train in a supportive group environment that celebrates effort, honors every starting point, and encourages you to show up as you are while working toward a shared goal. Each session is designed to help you grow gradually, feel stronger week by week, and line up on race day feeling prepared and proud of the work you've done.
